Projects

  • Literal

I'm the co-founder of Literal, a platform for book discovery and collaborative reading. Together with the startup studio Founders I want to go beyond reviews and offer a better way to collectively explore the ideas of the worlds greatest authors.

  • Minimal Gallery

Since 2013 I’m running and curating the Minimal Gallery, an online gallery to showcase the best web design. What started as a way for me to save personal inspiration grew to a well-known web design gallery.

  • Flying Dutchman

I helped start and am an advisor for The Flying Dutchman since 2018, where we this year also launched Herbal Care, a brand dedicated to organic, European-produced CBD oil.

  • Minimalist Icons

With the new option to customize the homescreen of iPhones, I of course had to create my own icon set. You can download it for free.

  • Fuck I Wish I Knew That

I created Fuck I Wish I Knew That in 2017, which to this day is a little link list to easily share my favorite articles, books or videos.

  • Munchies Club

Together with two friends I run the small streetwear brand Munchies Club, publishing a collection once a year since 2016. You can shop a selection of products in the PP Berlin store.

  • Rave

In 2018 I co-founded a social travel platform to create a solution to better travel recommendations. Among other things, we developed the beta of an iPhone app, threw a launch event for beta users and had partnerships with different journalists and travel bloggers. We stopped work end of 2019.

  • Space9

In 2016 I co-founded Space9 with a friend, to offer a simple all-round service for VR-tours, from planning the shoot over post production to a hosted & customized online experience.

  • Sherpa

In 2016 I co-founded Sherpa Healthcare, a digital health record system for doctors and patients, that we eventually ended in 2018.

  • CSS Grid

While working on a lot of landing page designs in 2019, I created a modern CSS grid for today's landing page designs.

  • Some Supply

I created Some Supply, a simple website for curated well-designed and high-quality products.

  • Lykke

In 2017, together with my friend Jonas Friedrich I started working on a line of minimal products, starting out with a high-quality watch.

  • FisCal

A simple VAT calculator for your phone. Discontinued.

  • MailMe

An app to simply send an email to yourself. Discontinued after it unfortunately stopped working after an iOS update.

  • CSS Detective

Browser extension to speed up the QA-process of designers, easily checking styles of an element in your browser.

  • Even more

Freelance work

I've had the pleasure to work with clients in many different fields over the last ten years, small to big. I design everything from websites to apps, develop and prototype concepts, code landing pages or shops or do creative- and art direction for brands.

The following are some excerpts of my more recent work. See my full client list.

Notes

  • Among others, my work has been awarded by Awwwards, Mindsparkle Mag and Red Dot and featured on SiteInspire, One Page Love, The Gallery and klikkenthéke.

  • I grew up near Cologne and have been living in Berlin for the last six years.

  • I'm self-taught.

  • I was part of the freelance group The Good Life Collective for a few years.

  • Depending on the project, I like to partner up with selected freelancers from my network on a regular basis, so it’s possible to offer a wide range of expertise specifically tailored to each project.
